Before Every Burn
Read your permit. Review all conditions—not just the weather limits.
Check the day’s burn information. Call the Umatilla County Burn Line at 541-278-6397.
Confirm District restrictions. A County burn-day designation does not override a District restriction or permit condition.
Check your property. Make sure conditions are suitable and your water, tools, and supervision are ready.
Stay responsible. Attend the fire continuously and extinguish it completely before leaving.
Questions Before You Light?
